Why I Finally Stopped Waiting for the Perfect Time

A few months ago, I found myself sitting at my kitchen table long after everyone else had gone to bed.

The house was finally quiet.

My homework was spread across the table. My laptop had more tabs open than I could count. My phone kept lighting up with reminders about work, school, appointments, and everything else life had thrown at me.

I remember leaning back in my chair and thinking...

"Am I really trying to do all of this?"

The honest answer?

Yes.

Because somewhere along the way, I realized that if I kept waiting for life to slow down before chasing my dreams, I might spend my entire life waiting.

I'm a wife, a mom to five incredible boys, I've spent more than 15 years working in orthodontics, I'm back in school, and now I'm building something that's completely my own.

None of that happened because life suddenly became easy.

It happened because I stopped believing I had to have everything figured out before I started.

For years I told myself the same things.

"I'll start when I have more money."

"I'll start when I have more time."

"I'll start when the kids get older."

"I'll start when I know what I'm doing."

"I'll start when life isn't so busy."

But every season brought a new reason to wait.

Then one day it hit me.

There is no perfect time.

There is only today.

My life isn't picture perfect.

Some weeks I feel like I have everything under control.

Other weeks I'm trying to remember who has practice, who's missing a permission slip, what assignment is due, and whether I remembered to move the laundry before everyone needs clean clothes.

I'm definitely not a budgeting expert.

I don't have a perfectly organized home.

I still make mistakes.

I still doubt myself.

I still change directions.

And honestly...

I'm okay with that now.

Because I've realized that growth doesn't belong to people who have everything together.

It belongs to the people who keep showing up anyway.

One of the biggest reasons I'm pushing myself isn't because I want a successful business.

It's because I want my children to see what's possible.

I want them to grow up knowing that it's never too late to learn something new.

Never too late to change careers.

Never too late to chase a dream.

Never too late to begin again.

If they remember one thing about me years from now, I hope it's this:

She never stopped trying.

That's why I created Made For This.

Not because I'm an expert.

Not because I've mastered life.

But because I'm living it.
